  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili garlic sauce (adjust to heat preference)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix beef with soy sauce and cornstarch; let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce: Whisk ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch mixed with water until smooth.
  3. Cook beef: Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer; cook until browned (about 2–3 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. Stir-fry vegetables: In the same wok, add garlic and onion; stir-fry for about 30 seconds. Add bell peppers; cook for another 3–4 minutes.
  5. Combine everything: Return beef to the wok and pour in the sauce. Stir well and heat through for an additional minute.
