1 lb beef shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 large shallot, thinly sliced
1 cup cooked rice
1 egg
1 tablespoon chopped green onions

Instructions
Marinate the beef: In a mixing bowl, combine beef cubes with soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, five-spice powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
