  • ½ bunch chopped green onions
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 12 oz uncooked chow mein noodles
  • 6 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp light sesame oil
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large wok over medium-high heat. Cut chicken into strips and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from pan.
  4. Add remaining oil; sauté carrots, cabbage, and garlic until tender (3-4 minutes).
  5. Return the chicken and noodles to the pan; pour sauce over everything. Stir to coat evenly and heat through (about 2 minutes).
