  • 100g dark chocolate (chopped or in chip form)
  • 100g almond paste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut each sheet into four triangles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the chopped dark chocolate with almond paste until well combined.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up tightly towards the point.
  5. Arrange the rolled croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  6. Whisk together the egg and milk for an egg wash and brush it over each croissant for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving warm.
