  • 6 day-old croissants
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts (lightly toasted)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Tear the croissants into pieces and layer half in the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the custard mixture over the croissants, followed by half of the chocolate hazelnut spread and half of the chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining croissants, custard mixture, chocolate hazelnut spread, and chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Cool slightly before serving warm, optionally topped with powdered sugar or fresh berries.
