Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • 2 cups melted peanut butter
  • 1 cup chopped candy (like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups)
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9"x13" pan with parchment paper and grease it.
  2. Prepare the cake batter according to package instructions and pour it into the pan. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  3. Poke holes in the cooled cake using the back of a wooden spoon. Pour melted peanut butter over the cake, ensuring it fills all holes.
  4. For frosting, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; adjust consistency with heavy cream if needed.
  5. Spread frosting evenly over the cake and top with chopped candy.
