  • 2 tablespoons Mexicali seasoning
  • 1 large lime (juiced)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • cilantro lime rice
  • sautéed onions and peppers
  • guacamole
  • cheese (cotija, oaxaca, Monterey jack)
  • pico de gallo
  • pickled jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak with Mexicali seasoning and lime juice for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions and peppers until caramelized (about 5 minutes).
  4. Assemble your bowl by starting with cilantro lime rice, layering sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, and jalapeños.
  5. Drizzle with sauce (cilantro ranch or yogurt) and garnish with cilantro.
