  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups caster sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • Cocoa powder, strawberry essence, pink food dye for flavoring and coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In one bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time.
  3. Mix in milk, oil, yogurt, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add dry ingredients until combined.
  4. Divide batter into three bowls: one with cocoa powder for chocolate, one with strawberry essence and pink dye for strawberry, and leave one plain for vanilla.
  5. Layer the batters in cupcake liners as desired and swirl gently if preferred.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling on a wire rack before frosting.
