  • 1 cup dry ditalini pasta
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (28-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can great northern beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions

  1. In a skillet or browning crock pot, cook the ground beef with onions, carrots, and celery until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
  2. Toast the dry ditalini pasta in a bowl with olive oil in the microwave on low power for about 3 to 5 minutes until blistered.
