  4. Alternately add the dry mixture and milk to the peanut butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Divide batter between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  6. While cooling, prepare frosting by mixing peanut butter and softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and milk to reach desired consistency.
  7. Once cooled, layer one cake with jelly and frosting, then top with the second layer and frost the entire cake.
